What is Catastrophic Insurance?

  • High limit Lifetime benefits for disabling injuries
  • Covers the student during practice and play in a covered event and travel to and from the location of the event.
  • Covers the student for injuries that result in $25,000 or more of medical, dental, or rehabilitation expenses within two years from the date of the covered accident.


The Voluntary Catastrophic Program

Protects your school district by providing insurance for serious injuries to students. Your school's plan can be tailored to need and budget. Benefit limits can vary from $1 million to $5 million per accident for medical expenses not covered by parents' insurance. In the event of total disability, benefits such as home remodeling, vehicle adaptation, college education, etc. can be included.

Covers your student body (K-12) for school-sponsored Music Concerts, Field Trips, Recess (primary school), Physical Education Classes, Chemistry Labs, Shop Classes. These activities are not covered by State High School Association plans.

Can provide coverage for junior high/middle school sports in states where the association does not provide coverage for those grades.

How much does it cost? Rates are based on activities or sports. Student activities can cost the school slightly more than $1 per student per year.
